Who still dreams

traditional african girl

The seed we planted

— sweat and blood

The soil I followed

Now puts on its lonely colour

So reluctant that no idea can grow

Even if the field is filled

To the brink of our flaming emotions

Would our seed die

And our effort be wasted?
